Wing brackets are typically used when a single post must hold a street name sign for a side street that doesn't intersect at the post location, or when the sign needs to project further into the right-of-way for visibility. Standard 15 inch reach wing brackets are the most common; longer reach variants are available for wider streets or special installations.
