Park and Recreation Signs use the standard MUTCD brown background with white symbols and are used in parks, forests, recreation areas, and along scenic byways to indicate available activities — camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, picnic areas, boating, skiing, horseback riding, cycling, scenic viewpoints, restrooms, drinking water, and accessible facilities. Accommodations and Services Signs use the blue MUTCD background with white symbols and direct motorists to hotels, motels, restaurants, gas stations, hospitals, telephone access, information centers, and wheelchair-accessible facilities at exits and along highways. Signs are available in standard 12 by 18, 18 by 18, 24 by 24, and 30 by 30 inch sizes on 0.080 aluminum with Engineer Grade or HIP reflective sheeting.
