Time Limit Parking Signs
Time limit parking signs set how long a vehicle may stay in a space — 2 hour, 1 hour, or a custom hour or minute limit (MUTCD R7-108, R7-5). Add your own time limit, days, and hours of enforcement, or a directional arrow. Printed on rust-proof .080" aluminum with reflective sheeting.

Time Limit Parking Signs FAQ
What is a time limit parking sign?
A time limit parking sign sets the maximum length of time a vehicle may stay in a space, such as 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 2 hours. Once the limit passes, the vehicle must move or it can be ticketed. These signs keep spaces turning over in busy lots and on commercial streets.
What does a 2 hour parking sign mean?
A 2 hour parking sign means you may park for up to two hours in that space, after which you must leave. In most areas you cannot simply move down the block and re-park nearby to reset the clock. If the sign lists hours or days, the two-hour limit only applies during those times.
Does 2 hour parking mean parking is free, or do you have to pay?
A plain 2 hour parking sign only limits how long you can stay; it does not by itself mean you must pay. If payment is required, the sign or a nearby meter will say so (for example a pay parking sign). So a time limit sign controls time, while a pay sign controls payment, and a space can have both.
What does “2 Hour Parking 8 AM to 6 PM” mean?
It means the two-hour limit is only enforced between 8 AM and 6 PM. Outside those hours the time limit does not apply, so you may park longer overnight or on days the restriction does not cover. Always read the full sign for excepted days such as Sundays or holidays.
What color are time limit parking signs?
Time limit parking signs are typically green legend and border on a white background, the standard color for parking-permission and regulation signs, so they read clearly from a distance. Custom colors are available on request.
Can I customize the time limit or hours on a parking sign?
Yes. We can set any time limit — minutes or hours — and add specific days, hours of enforcement, or a directional arrow. This lets the sign match your lot’s exact rules, whether it is 15 minute, 30 minute, 1 hour, or 2 hour parking.
What size and material are time limit parking signs?
Standard sizes are 12x18 inches and 18x24 inches for higher visibility. Signs are printed on rust-proof .080" aluminum with reflective sheeting so they stay legible day and night and last for years outdoors.
