The series splits by arrow geometry rather than by message: R4-7a runs the arrow horizontally, R4-7b sets it at an angle, and R4-7c uses the symbol-only treatment. Choose by how the obstruction presents to approaching traffic, since the arrow should follow the path drivers must actually take. The mirrored family for left-hand passage is R4-8.
