Example Use:
On a four-lane highway, as drivers travel forward, they first encounter a 'Right Lane Closure Ahead' sign, notifying them that the rightmost lane will soon be closed. This early warning allows drivers to check for vehicles in the adjacent lane and begin the process of merging left when it's safe to do so. A little further down the road, drivers might see a 'Left Lane Closure Ahead' sign, signaling the upcoming closure of the leftmost lane. Those who had previously merged left due to the right lane closure would now need to merge once more, this time to the remaining open right lane. Providing such signage in stages gives drivers ample notice and the opportunity to adjust their positions safely and gradually, thereby reducing the likelihood of sudden merges and potential accidents.
