R7-BS Purpose and Use
Pointing one way only, the Single Arrow Blue placard keeps an accessible parking reservation from being read as covering neighboring spaces.
Use it under an R7-8 where a single accessible stall sits to one side of the post, so the reservation is not read as covering the next space over.

Why would I need a single arrow on an accessible parking sign?
Where one accessible stall sits to the side of the post, the R7-BS keeps the reservation from being read as covering the adjacent space, which is a common source of wrongful towing disputes.
Does the R7-BS replace the van accessible placard?
No. The arrow indicates direction only. A van accessible stall still needs the R7-8P or D9-6P placard in addition to the arrow.

The R7-BS puts a white legend on a majority blue background, and blue has lower retroreflectivity than white as defined by ASTM D4956. This sign therefore starts with less light return than a white-background sign of the same size. That makes the T-11500 OmniCube the more important upgrade here, not the less — it is what gets a blue sign readable from as far off as the sign it modifies rather than only from a car length away.

R7-BS Mounting Hole Pattern and Spacing
The R7-BS is a horizontal placard, so its mounting holes are spaced to line up with the holes of the sign it mounts beneath, letting both share a single post without drilling
