The MUTCD D11-1 Bike Route Sign serves to guide and inform cyclists of designated bicycle routes for safe and efficient navigation. What is a bike route? A bike route is a designated path or roadway that is designed to accommodate bicyclists, often with special signs, markings, or infrastructure such as bike lanes or shared lanes.
MUTCD GUIDANCE: Bike Route Guide (D11-1) signs may be provided along designated bicycle routes to inform bicyclists of bicycle route direction changes and to confirm route direction, distance, and destination.
