Product Specifications
What is an A-Frame barricade?
It's a portable traffic control device made up of two triangular leg panels and reflective striped boards, used to warn and direct traffic in work zones.
What are the component parts?
White plastic A-Frame legs, and a reflective striped barricade board that slides into the legs
What sizes do the barricade boards come in?
The boards are 8 inches tall and available in 6-foot or 8-foot widths.
Are these sold as a complete unit?
No, all parts are sold separately — legs and boards are purchased individually, allowing you to replace worn components without buying the entire barricade.
What type of barricade does this assemble into?
Depending on how many boards are used, this can be configured as a Type I (one board) or Type II (two boards)
What material is the leg made from?
It's made from impact-resistant high density polyethylene (HDPE)
Is the barricade crash-tested?
Yes, it is NCHRP 350 approved when used with plastic rails and a barricade light.
How do the legs store when not in use?
The legs have built-in stacking lugs that allow them to nest together securely for slip-free storage and transport.
Assembly
How would you go about assembling an A Frame Barricade
Assembling an A-Frame barricade is pretty straightforward. You stand two leg panels upright facing each other, spread apart at the base so they're stable. The legs have horizontal slots or channels built into them — you simply slide the barricade board(s) through those slots from one side until the board spans across both legs. The board rests in the slots by gravity, no tools or hardware needed. If you're building a Type II, you add a second board into the additional slots on the legs. Once the boards are in place, adjust the leg spread so the barricade stands firmly on its own. To break it down, you just slide the boards back out and fold or stack everything flat for transport.
