Safety Vests and Slow Paddles are used together by construction workers, utility workers, and school crossing guards to manage two-way traffic flow. Vests are made with neon yellow fabric and highly reflective white bands, commanding the attention of drivers and pedestrians from a distance. Slow paddles are double-sided and available in two styles, stop-slow and stop-stop.
Stop-slow paddles are typically used when a two-lane road must be narrowed into a single lane in a construction zone. When road work tasks such as repaving asphalt or unloading equipment are underway, one double-sided stop-slow paddle can notify drivers approaching from both directions of an upcoming lane closure.
Available in two sizes and two styles, our stop-slow paddles are lightweight, durable, and easy to maneuver. 18-inch and 24-inch sign sizes provide sufficient visibility without the excess weight of larger signs, while both high-intensity prismatic and full-cube prismatic sheeting styles fulfill MUTCD material standards. Each stop-slow paddle consists of two pre-assembled parts, an orange ABS molded plastic handle and the double-sided .080” aluminum stop-slow sign. The aluminum sign is securely attached to the ABS handle with two screws and two nuts.
