What is Parrallell parking?
Parallel parking is a method of parking a vehicle parallel to the road, in line with other parked vehicles. It's usually done in a spot between two parked cars. Here are the basic steps:
- Align your car parallel to the car you intend to park behind, with about 2-3 feet distance between them.
- Start reversing slowly, and once your rear wheels are aligned with the other car's back bumper, turn your steering wheel sharply towards the curb.
- As your car enters the spot, begin to straighten the wheel when your front door passes the rear bumper of the forward car.
- Continue reversing until your car's front door aligns with the rear bumper of the forward car, then turn your steering wheel sharply away from the curb.
- Reverse and adjust as necessary, ensuring your car is parallel and close enough to the curb without touching it.
This maneuver can be difficult for inexperienced drivers and even some experienced ones, but with practice, it becomes much easier. Please note that the exact process may vary slightly depending on the vehicle's size and the amount of space available.
